Receiving!

When receiving  the ball:

  • Body must be relaxed

  • Be prepared to control the ball close to the body

  • Protect the ball

  • Play the ball out of your footprint

Shooting !

  • Jump into the last step with the planting foot.

  • Begin the knee drive

  • Toe of the shooting foot should be pointed.

  • Complete the swing of the shooting leg with a slightly bent knee.

  • keep the toe of the shooting foot pointed to the ground.

  • Follow through the shot by landing on the shooting foot.

 

Chest Control!

When controlling the ball with the chest!

  • Be relaxed

  • Absorb the ball as it makes contact with the body

  • Keep the feel as active as possible

  • Keep the chin tucked and eyes wide open

  • Protect the body space by keeping the arms bent and chest high

 

Dribbling!

When dribbling the ball:

  • Keep you head up.

  • Stay on the balls of your feet

  • Lower your center of gravity.

  • Change you speed and direction

  • Look to unbalance or wrong foot the opponent.

  • Keep the ball close to the body in tight spaces
